Purdy has been involved in artistic skating since 1991. Her main area of skating and coaching has been freeskating - which is jumps and spin skills. As a skater, Purdy has won several national and Oceania championships in the highest section of competition, and competed in 8 world championships. Commencing coaching in 2001, Purdy has coached skaters from beginner level to coaching at world championships. Laverton Skate Centre is the first rink Purdy ever skated at 6 years of age! Purdy is both happy and excited to return to such a positive and passionate skating environment.
